There are reports that Target is considering the development of a loyalty membership program similar to Walmart+ and Amazon Prime:

“According to Bloomberg, Target is internally discussing a program known as “Project Trident” that would operate like Amazon Prime or Walmart+, providing benefits such as free delivery and fast delivery on eligible purchases for a monthly or annual fee.“
