FAQs ABOUT TRAINING
Why do we have to have our cameras on during training?
Our teachers have studied how to teach adults. Many adults don’t want to risk asking a question and so sit in silence. Our teachers have learned how to pick up facial cues and body language that reveal a student doesn’t understand. Then the teacher can review a topic or talk with the student during a break to be sure the concept is understood.
Are there breaks during the training?
Yes, every two hours or so. And if you need to step away while training is in progress, just send your teacher a message using the CHAT option at the bottom of your Zoom screen.
What do I do if I have trouble logging in? I don’t want to miss any of the information I’ve paid for!
A day or two before your scheduled training, we will send you a contact you can text or phone in case Zoom gives you any problems. That contact will be able to help you immediately — so you won’t miss a minute of the class.
I am curious. Why is 8th & Walton often referred to as the gold standard of Walmart supplier education?
Several reasons. First, each of our teachers is a real subject matter expert with decades of experience with Walmart. Second, our content is updated often — in fact, whenever Walmart makes a change, we immediately change the content to match the new procedure or requirement. Third, because we offer live Zoom training, attendees can ask a question and get an immediate answer. No other supplier education company can make those three claims.
