Walmart has opened the 2,500th Bodega Aurrera store in Mexicali, Mexico:

“Walmart de México y Centroamérica, also known as Walmex, opened a landmark 2,500th Bodega Aurrera store in Mexicali, Mexico. Bodega Aurrera, one of several store formats operated by Walmex, serves communities throughout Mexico by offering a range of products to families at affordable prices, from groceries and household items to electronics, appliances and toys. This newest location boasts a sales floor of almost 2,000 sq. m. (roughly 21,000 sq. ft.) and will create over 50 new jobs.“
