In 2022, 8th & Walton became the second B Corp certified company in Arkansas — a recognition that reflects not just what we do, but how and why we do it.
B Corp certification is awarded by B Lab, a global nonprofit, to companies that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. The process involves more than 400 questions and multiple live interviews, and typically takes close to a year to complete.
For us, it affirmed something we already believed: that a business rooted in Bentonville — steps from the Walmart Home Office, working daily with suppliers who touch millions of lives — has an outsized opportunity to be a force for good.
"Business can balance profit and purpose. Business can be purpose-driven and create benefits for all stakeholders, not just shareholders. That is what we pledge to be."
— Jeff Clapper, President & CEO
In 2026, 8th & Walton joined 1% for the Planet — a global movement of businesses committed to donating 1% of annual revenue to environmental causes.
Our giving partner is the Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF).
Founded in 1976, the Arkansas Community Foundation has spent nearly five decades strengthening communities across the state — distributing more than half a billion dollars in grants through a statewide network of 29 local affiliate offices. It is the largest grantmaker in Arkansas by number of grants made each year, and its assets rank among the top 60 of more than 900 community foundations in the United States.
Why ARCF? As a Bentonville-based company, the choice felt natural. The Foundation's work spans neighborhoods, towns, and the state as a whole — investing in the same communities where our clients, partners, and team members live and work. We believe strong communities and strong businesses grow together, and directing our giving through ARCF is one of the most tangible ways we can act on that belief.
Each quarter, the 8th & Walton team dedicates time during business hours to support local nonprofits — distributing meals, supporting food access initiatives, and showing up for the community we call home in Northwest Arkansas.
We don't manufacture products, but our influence extends far beyond our office walls. Through our work advising Walmart suppliers, we help shape decisions around packaging, supply chain, and sustainability. In one example, guidance from our team helped a supplier eliminate a plastic tray from its entire product line — removing 15 million pieces of plastic from landfills every year.
With guidance from the 8th & Walton a supplier-customer was able to remove a plastic tray from all its products, eliminating 15 million pieces of plastic yearly from landfills.
