In just one hour, you will gain an understanding of Walmart’s accounts payables, deductions, claims, and disputes as they are today. Ideal both for someone new to these accounting aspects as well as a seasoned veteran who wants to have up-to-the-minute knowledge of the processes.

By the end of this 1-hour session, you will:

  • Be familiar with key systems and tools and know when to use each.
  • Feel confident in identifying, analyzing, and disputing deductions or claims.
  • Understand how to leverage available resources to support your processes effectively.

Accounts Payable Information Systems: Discover where to locate your checks and gain clarity on the columns in the check download to help identify deductions or claims.

Dispute Management: Understand how to use the appropriate systems to address short payments or compliance-related deductions:

Resources: Learn about the Enterprise Business Services website and explore the valuable tools and training available through Walmart’s Academy.

This class runs from 1 PM to 2 PM Central Time.

It is a live Zoom meeting with a maximum of 10 participants.

Meet Your Teacher

Heather Reid worked for Walmart Canada for 22 years prior to joining Canada’s 8th & Walton in 2016. While at Walmart, she organized and facilitated its Retail Link® and various system-training programs for both internal and external Walmart customers. She also facilitated a four-day supplier training session on a bi-weekly basis, teaching over 2,000 suppliers. She has a vast knowledge of Walmart Luminate™, Replenishment (GRS), and is an expert in Retail Link®, Scintilla™, and in Accounting for both Walmart Canada and Walmart US. In addition to her deep knowledge of retail systems, Heather is an extraordinary teacher. She holds a diploma in Human Resources, Marketing, and Accounting and has held the Canadian Human Resource Leader (CHRL) designation.

  • Each student must register; one participant per registration.
  • NOTE FOR NEW WALMART SUPPLIERS: In order to produce valid reports, your company should be shipping to Walmart prior to taking this class.
  • During this class, no data is shared, confidentiality is maintained throughout, and proprietary materials of Walmart’s are not distributed.
  • Content for this class is revised frequently — whenever changes or updates occur.
  • Suppliers should know Excel before registering for this seminar.
  • Prior to class, you will be sent a Supplement with information pertinent to your class.
  • Within three days after your class, you will receive a Certificate of Completion in your email. Many suppliers post this on LinkedIn because it keeps a profile fresh and exciting as well as up-to-date.
