Navigating Supply Chain Reliability
Overview
Since the inception of Supply Chain Reliability in early 2010, Walmart has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in “cost reimbursements” from the Supplier community. With the recent addition of Sam’s Club to the program, nearly every aspect of the supplier network is being monitored for compliance. Because Supply Chain Reliability is unique among retailers and requires very different skills to manage versus other Supply Chain measures, suppliers are finding themselves needing to quickly learn and adapt within their organizations or risk significant financial penalty.
In this course, you will learn:
- Though Supply Chain Reliability was implemented only recently, the message is not new. Hear the history behind the program, where it is expected to go, and why Walmart really wants Suppliers to be in compliance.
- Understand compliance and why it is different than on-time delivery and order fill rate.
- Why you still may be subject to financial penalty even if you meet the requirements of a purchase order.
- Master the Supply Chain Reliability reporting tools and know how to interpret what they are really telling you about your business.
Note: We strongly advise the use of dual monitors for webinars. If this is not possible, we suggest printing the class notes prior to attending.
