Description

Tom Muccio moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1987 to head a team aimed at strengthening Procter & Gamble’s relationship with Walmart and to improve efficiencies between the two companies. Over twenty years have passed and the model P&G created as a Walmart supplier is now seen as a template for how suppliers should do business with Walmart.

P&G developed an approach to business that didn’t consist of only the salesperson/buyer relationship but a fully integrated approach that drove costs out of the system and created a more efficient replenishment process. Listen as Tom explains six key factors that helped define P&G’s new relationship with Walmart and gives advice for both large and small suppliers alike.
