Dr. Matthew Waller is the Garrison Chair in Supply Chain Management at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.  He is recognized as one of the most productive and frequently published researchers in top logistics journals.

Exploring and examining the processes of replenishment, forecasting, and global supply chain management has been the focus of research in recent years for Matt Waller. Pulling from his experience in business academia and living and working in China for the past two years, Matt continues to focus his expertise in retail and consumer product supply chain logistics worldwide. He also notes the importance of working with individuals who can analyze data well and shift their focus to utilizing data not only for reports but in many other ways benefitting the supplier.  From understanding the technology of the industry to hiring capable analysts for your team, Matt discusses the most recent issues in supply chain logistics and how it affects suppliers of all sizes.

 

About the Moderator
 
Thomas Addington is the CEO of Brand Villages which advises senior leadership on complex strategic issues. 
 
Tom holds a Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University.  Prior to his consulting work he served on the faculties of Penn State and the University of Arkansas.
 
He divides his time between the United States, the United Kingdom and Asia, where clients  include Saatchi & Saatchi X, 8th & Walton, J.B. Hunt Transportation, Terral River Service and Keppel, among others.  Brand Villages also works with a host of non-profit organizations.
 
As part of his effort to understand how senior leaders think and work, Tom has regular face-to-face conversations with individuals like Peter Drucker, Rosabeth Moss Kanter (Harvard Business School professor), Horst Schulze (Ritz Carlton Hotel Company founder), Donald Trump, Patrick Lencioni and Larry Bossidy (Chairman, Honeywell Corporation).
 
Tom currently serves on the boards of Walton Bates (UK), Slumberland and Bethel University.
