Walmart’s goal is not to create revenue but to drive efficiencies in the supply chain. The flow of goods is critical to “one touch” approach and scheduling of man power in the store. Late trucks drive out of stocks. Walmart’s expectation is that all purchase orders issued with an MABD date arrive within the 3 days prior to or on the designated MABD date, and 100% complete.
This video will explain how to track MABD. Understanding MABD will help suppliers understand where shipping issues are originating, and to hopefully work on those issues to minimize shipping issues in the future.
