Perishable Goods Replenishment & Inventory Management 101 (The Basics)

Overview

Our Perishable Replenishment course helps you gain a fundamental understanding of how to effectively create a manual forecast using sales history, buyer budget and current inventory, while taking into consideration other factors like retail changes, seasonality and competition.

In addition, participants will learn how to develop successful inventory management skills, maximizing sales performance and enabling you to reduce overall shrink.

In this course, you will learn:

  • How to take raw data and turn it into a good manual forecast
  • Factors used to create a good forecast
  • How to maintain optimal product presentation and reduce damages
  • How to convert the number of units to cases to trucks
  • Impacts of Lead-time variation
  • Supercenter preset reports
  • SWAS and Exception Reports
  • Supply Chain Fundamentals

An understanding of Excel and Retail Link® is required for this class.
